make a change today
We’ve been getting to know our new Breakaway group better this morning at Forest Way School in Leicestershire. Today we’ve heard their manifesto ideas and leant that they all have fantastic memories. We’re looking forward to working with them again next week. #breakaway #emotionaleducation #therighttovote #gettingtoknoweachother #newgroup #equality #diversity
Last night was the first family session after the Moxie residential took place. The young people reflected on their journey, challenges since getting back & how to keep the possibility of change going. (Clue: it’s to keep coming to the weekly sessions).
They also filled up on toast and crumpets donated by @warburtonsuk who funded the project.

The young people from Breakaway Worksop have made decorations and decorated a tree for Worksop Priory’s Christmas Tree Festival.
The paper chain has the reasons why they like coming to Breakaway. The 12 days of Christmas parcel decorations are what they would do if they ran the country. They even decorated some decorations to write down your own.
You can go and see if from today until Sunday, and why not write down one think you would change if you was in charge of the country.

Our awesome young people from Breakaway have been looking at democracy to celebrate the Centenary of Women’s Right to Vote.
We asked them if they were in charge of the country what would they want to happen.
Moxie Residential Team Training is in full swing. Volunteers are getting ready for our residential at the Hollowford Centre in 2 weeks. Looking forward to taking the young people away to help them choose a better life for themselves.
Teresa, Sophie and Charmaine have spent the morning at the Hollowford Centre, Castleton, making plans for the Moxie Stage 1 residential course later in November.
Looking forward to working with young people from Eastwood to transform their futures #timetotransform
Sophie’s 30 day challenge is still going strong 💪 days 8-12 involves exercise classes, yoga, biking, jogging and even some hula hooping fun at a VW festival.
What fun ways do you make your exercising more enjoyable?

A week into the challenge and I am going strong. The weekend was challenging but I managed it. Yesterday I went for it and managed to fit 11 portions of fruit and vegetables in 👊🏾 get in. Today I have managed to fit in 10.
Really getting the hang of this now and I’m looking forward to finding some new recipes to will help me to keep up the good work I’ve done so far.
Here’s to another week. 😁
Day 4 & 5 of #getsophiemoving went well! Challenging but well!
Day 4, was a run around the local and involved my pets. Run 1 ended up finding my cat that keeps turning up at our old house, so had to carry him home. Once we dropped him off him, we decided to take the dog with us.
Day 5, was a 18 mile bike ride! I’ve not really rode a bike in 20 years. I’m not going to lie, there were times towards the end where I just wanted to cry as I was so tired and hurt. I do feel a massive sense of achievement for managing that distance.
