Fusion Welcome
Helping new arrivals from Hong Kong to settle into our communities
Fusion Welcome Project is a community‑based programme delivered by Transform to support people from Hong Kong who have recently moved to the UK and are now settling in Nottinghamshire.
The project is designed to help individuals and families feel welcomed, connected, and supported as they build their new lives in the UK. It brings together three inclusive strands of activity:
-
Fusion Youth offers engaging activities for children and young people from Hong Kong backgrounds. Sessions provide a safe, welcoming space where young people can make friends, build confidence, and take part in positive social activities while adjusting to life in the UK.
-
Fusion Employability supports adults from Hong Kong who are looking for work in the UK. The programme helps participants understand the UK job market and access practical guidance and training activities to improve employability and confidence.
-
Fusion Seniors is a friendly social dining club for people aged 50 and over from the Hong Kong community. It aims to reduce isolation, encourage social connection, and create opportunities to meet others in similar circumstances over shared meals.
The Fusion Welcome Project celebrates cultural identity while supporting integration, helping people from Hong Kong feel a sense of belonging within Nottinghamshire communities. Activities are inclusive, supportive, and culturally welcoming, with bilingual elements where appropriate.
