make a change today

Hello my name is Charmaine and as part of the Transform team and the Time to transform project I have decided to change my eating habits. My challenge is to eat at least 7 portions of fruit or vegetables a day for 30 days.

I set this challenge for myself as I want to eat more healthy which I know can improve my emotional wellbeing and resilience by taking control and and pushing myself out of my comfort zone and into my challenge zone.

This isn’t going to be easy but I think the results will be worth it.

Hi, I’m Sophie and I’m taking over from Stacey and her #timetotransform 30 day challenge of #stacerunseveryday. After feeling inspired by Stacey and how she’s continued running everyday, even though she’s completed her challenge. I started thinking what is one small change I can make on a daily basis to boost my emotional resilience. A few things came to mind, such as; being creative, journalling, connecting with nature, healthy eating, carrying out a random act of kindness, reading, and listening to music. However, I decided being physically active was something which is currently missing from my life. For a few years I was pretty active and attended lots of different fitness classes or clubs. Over the past 10 months I have lost that and have noticed the effect it has had on my mental health, motivation, my routine, weight, self-esteem, ability to relax, energy levels, and physical health.

So with that in mind I’ve decided to do some form of physical activity every day. As I like to keep fit in a variety of ways, for example where there’s a social aspect, I enjoy it and feel challenged (but not too challenging! I’m not going to suddenly run a marathon or sign up to tough mudder! Baby steps!).

So my 30 day challenge starts today and I’m calling it #getsophiemoving.

Wish me luck!

So my 30 day challenge starts today and I’m calling it #getsophiemoving.

Wish me luck!
